Meet Joey Logan, Senior Claims Administrator, Birmingham, Alabama

For the first installment in this series, we are excited to introduce Joey Logan, Senior Claims Administrator. Joey began her career with Engle Martin 16 years ago and brings a strong sense of organization, attention to detail, and genuine passion to supporting others. Joey is always ready to help her team, learn something new, and puts others first.
Q: How has working in insurance changed the way you see problem-solving or helping others?
Joey Logan: Most of all, it has taught me to always be prepared for the unexpected. Because of that, I’ve learned to take my time and evaluate each situation individually from the beginning. I’ve grown a lot in the 16 years I’ve been with Engle Martin, and I’ve come to understand that change is good and that helping others is very rewarding.
Q: What does “making an impact” look like in your day-to-day work?
Joey Logan: For me, making an impact means being there to support not only my adjusters, but also my team, my supervisor, and any other department that needs assistance. I am always willing to help, and if there’s something new that I can learn that will help our adjusters or team get their jobs done better, faster, and more efficiently, I’m all in.
Q: What skills have helped you grow the most in your career so far?
Joey Logan: I think being organized and detail-oriented has helped me a lot. I genuinely enjoy helping others, and that approach has allowed me to learn so much along the way. I’m always willing to help where I can to make our adjusters’ jobs a little easier.
Q: What is one thing about your job that might surprise people outside the industry?
Joey Logan: One thing that might surprise people is how quickly things can change. From technology and clients to weather-related events, there are constant shifts that influence the direction of the company and how we operate.
Q: What advice would you give someone interested in a career in insurance?
Joey Logan: I would tell someone interested in a career in insurance that it is a wonderful and diverse industry to excel in. There are countless opportunities and directions to learn, grow, and develop within the various roles within this field.
Q: What do you enjoy most about the work you do or the people you work with?
Joey Logan: I enjoy helping others and learning new things. I also value the opportunities to support not only my own team but other teams across the company. I truly appreciate the team and leadership I get to work with, and I know I can trust that everything will be handled when I’m out of the office. Everyone steps in, works together, and gets the job done and it has been that way since the day I started with Engle Martin.
